The undulating layers in ancient organic rocks create fantastic colour combinations. The patterns in granite are unique and inspired us in the design of the Levels series. The wavy lines in multiple layers with different finishes of polishing and sandblasting. Each colour combination is named after existing colour names in granite. levels

coal

Coal is mostly carbon with variable amounts of other elements, mostly hydrogen, sulfur, oxygen and nitrogen. Coal is a type of fossil fuel, formed when dead plant matter decays into peat and is converted into coal by the heat and pressure of deep burial over millions of years.

breccia

Breccia is a rock composed of larger angular broken fragments of minerals or rocks cemented together by a fine-grained matrix. The word has its origins in the Italian language, in which it means “rubble”.

marl

Marl is an earthy material rich in carbonate minerals, clays and silt. When hardened into rock, this becomes marlstone. It is formed in marine or freshwater environments, often through the activities of algae.

flint

Flint, occasionally flintstone, is a sedimentary cryptocrystalline form of the mineral quartz, categorized as the variety of chert that occurs in chalk or marly limestone. Flint was widely used historically to make stone tools and start fires.
